How the desk works

  1. Every score typed once

A score goes in with its date, round and event. From then on it counts towards the archer's handicap, their classification, the club records and any badge it earns, without being copied anywhere else.

  2. Lists you can pin up

Print the list per bowstyle, the reassessment report for the AGM, claim sheets to hand out, the club records board and the results of a club handicap shoot.

  3. Names never leave this browser

Your members' names and scores are stored only in this browser. There is no account for you and nothing for your members to install. Export a backup whenever you like, locked with a passphrase if you want.

Just want the handicap for one score? The handicap and classification calculator needs nothing saved. New to the job? Start with the records officer's year or all the guides.

Where the numbers come from

The handicap equations, the classification schemes and the round definitions are a line by line TypeScript port of archeryutils, the open source library by Jack Atkinson that also powers the free archerycalculator site. The port is tested against every number in that library's own test suite: the handicap tables for all 231 rounds in 4 schemes, and the classification thresholds for every category.

The club rules that sit on top, such as how averages are rounded and when a handicap improves, are settings with the source for each default shown next to it, because clubs and counties do not all read them the same way.
